Plus, you don't actually have to do any maths - you can either just wing it (AKA "The Kerbal Way"), or there are cheat sheets and mods that'll do it for you. It's Lego, so it's as hard or easy as you want it to be. After all, if you're playing in PC, you can use mods to add other star systems and use very complex engine mods to achieve plausible interstellar travel.
How much difficult you want to make it after you master that, it's up to you. You can easily look for a tutorial to build a simple rocket that will achieve orbit and land. It's about the dungeon.Īs for difficult, it doesn't start too difficult. KSP isn't not about fighting your way through a dungeon in order to complete a quest, get a nice sound effect and a mcguffin. And instead of accomplishments or level ups (well, science is kind of that), or flashy screens with sound effects, the reward is achieving that challenge. And once you've done that, you set yourself another (ie, land on the Mun and go back). Setting yourself a challenge (ie: reach orbit with a rocket of your own making) is the game. In KSP, learning how to play it's actually the game. In most games, the tutorials/learning how to play it's mostly a chore you have to do in order to play the game.
